Help Stop the New Jersey Home Sales Tax

Published 28 September 07 08:38 AM | Emil Ratti
In response to NJAR®'s Local Home Sales Tax campaign, the League of Municipalities sent a notice to New Jersey mayors urging them to write legislators in support of a local realty transfer fee.  In this week’s edition of NJBIZ Assemblywoman Joan Quigley, prime sponsor of local transfer fee legislation, referenced the Home Sales Tax campaign by saying, "It’s a bit of overkill," says Quigley, who adds that the new tax amounts to just one-tenth of 1 percent of the sales price of a home and would be "imperceptible."

NJAR® feels that now is the time to initiate our letter-writing campaign and we need your help!
